Oh, I liked this a lot. I loved how slowly and gently their relationship emerged, how real they both seemed, and how realistic everything felt. And Neville totally wins for being awesome.

And this made me laugh aloud:

"Mum," Fred says, pointing at Ron, "Ron just gave Neville a grope."

"I did not!" Ron shouts. "I didn't, Mum, honest."

haha That made me laugh too when I pictured the scene in my head.

Thank you!

Lovely job showing Ron's coming out. I enjoyed seeing both him and Neville being uncertain of how to cope with their families, and how though that made things tense between them they were able to work through it.

Whee, I loved it, even though I normally quietly creep away from most Neville-pairings :). But this was touching without being too heavy, sweet without being fluff, and I really liked how both Ron and Neville bring their insecurities and fears and most of all their family baggage (great use of prompt, there, for both!) into their relationship. And work through it in a way perfectly integrated into the fic – working through the issues, without Working Through the Issues, if that makes sense.

I enjoyed your characterisation of Ron throughout – his insecurity and fear of telling his family came across so well, in a very Ron-voice. And having it turn out totally unfounded in the end made it feel even more in character :). His intense venom towards Ginny surprised me at one point, but in the end it makes sense – she's the one most likely to see through him (and she does, of course), and therefore the greatest threat (and also, from her PoV, the most impatient over Ron's hiding such a huge part of himself, and Neville too).

An all-round lovely fic, and very uplifting at the end!

Eeeeeeeeee, I love this so much! The way you've portrayed the characters, this pairing, leaves me feeling blissfully happy. Their relationship is so tender and loving and just adorable. *love*

(and I can't help but be utterly blissful about the Harry/Ginny. *is pathetic*)

I dunno why, but I just loved how Ron and Neville first got together, and how fumbling it was! XD It just seemd so true to their characters and embarassment factors. Your Ron was just lovely, as always, and Neville was perfect in this. The coming out scenes were great, Ron's especially and his family's reaction XD Hee, oh Ginny ;) Excellent job!!

I just have pure love for this fic. I adored your Neville and Ron to no end. Wonderful read :)

I really enjoyed this!

I love the way you highlight the very different family dynamics that have been at work in the lives of both Ron and Neville.

I thought your Ron was excellent. Your Neville was especially wonderful. I think the choice to keep the clumsy but make him overall the more confident one was brilliant.

The scene with Neville's parents brought tears to my eyes with just the first sentence. I am a big fan of the bittersweet and that small scene is a wonderful, powerful example of that particular emotional mix.

This was fantastic. Both Ron and Neville were perfect, and I loved how everyone reacted to their relationship. Wonderfully done.

Kerry, this is awesome. I've been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to leave you a comment on it! Which you probably won't get until you're back in the States : )

Ditto to what everyone else said. I love the Weasley family dynamics, particularly Arthur's blithe "Welcome to the family" (how could anything his kids did shock Arthur Weasley at this point?), and the rift with Harry & Ron- I like that you presented the coming out as awkward, painful & confusing, and also how isolating it can be for someone going through it. Ron was so wonderfully IC- I liked how he was completely (although unintentionally, I'm sure) insensitive about Neville's parents, at first, and then so wonderfully sweet once he realized how it affected Neville. Oh, Neville... *hugs* how could someone not love Neville?

This fic made me smile. :)

Aww. I love how you had Nev and Ron's relationship, and the "cos you didn't punch me when I held your hand", and the twins' joking, and the nervousness, and planning to take Frank and Alice home with them. ;D

Dammit! I'm so far behind and I didn't get to vote. I'm so very sorry.

This is EXCELLENT! Warm, funny, so very Weasley. and it's the first fic I've read where Ron is recognizable!

Well done, fellow teammate!

"Augusta Longbottom dies a month after Neville and Ron move in together and Ron really wishes that he could talk to Harry and Hermione about it, so he can say out loud that he believes the old berk planned it to dampen Neville's happiness."

Loved it!

I also really enjoyed the family dynamic.

Great job!

Since I beta'ed, you know how much I enjoyed this, but I just wanted to point out a couple of things that jumped out during my re-read:

"Oh... you've been with other blokes, then?"

"Muggles mostly," Neville says before his eyes widen from understanding. "So... only Malfoy?"

Ron rolls over on his side. "I'm pathetic."

Immediately Neville's touching him with tender long strokes over his side and down his thigh. "I would've never known. You were fantastic."

That interchange really sets the stage for their relationship, and I think it really draws on canon: Ron being insecure and beginning to close up as soon as he thinks he'll be hurt; Neville instinctively reaching out and trying to make amends. You capture so much in those few lines of dialogue.

If he can't tell Harry, then he can't tell Hermione. There's a code between them and telling one and not the other just isn't right.

I love those two lines, because it expresses so effectively the bind that Ron sees himself to be in. And yet, considering all that they've gone through, I find it sad for him that he believes he can't be honest with his closest of friends, and that he remains silent, and isolated.

Neville, still naked and warm, reaches over and wraps his arms around Ron's waist and Ron smells the familiar bitter, salty smell of sex.

Guh. Beautifully expressive prose, there.

Nicely done!! :)

Ahh, that whole last part was adorable. I really enjoyed this, and found the development of the relationship very believable. Wonderful scene in Neville's parents' room too. ♥
